As part of the implementation of the Smart Almaty project, the health sector is also actively developing.
For the first time in Kazakhstan, the Komek 103 navigation system has been introduced in Almaty. It allows through the dispatch center to send a team, the doctor receives information about the patient's symptoms, which allows to adjust the medical actions. During the implementation of the system, the speed of emergency crews arriving to call was reduced from 17 minutes to 11.7 minutes. In more than 80% of cases, an ambulance arrives in less than 15 minutes.
This is just one element of a full-fledged smart health system.
Zhanna Tulegenova as the Central Communications Service Said during a briefing by the Chairman of the Board of the Almaty City Development Center, «As part of the Smart Almaty study, we have studied the international experience.» She especially noted the experience of Great Britain on the example of Leeds. There is a comprehensive solution aimed primarily at improving the quality of outpatient services and reducing the level of chronic diseases. To do this, an electronic card is available for family doctors, clinical doctors and medical and social services.
«The peculiarity of this project is that social workers and volunteers take part in it, in addition to medical workers. Chronic patients are provided with patronage, all over the city there are brigades that help the chronic patients,» she explained.
For Almaty, this experience is notable for the fact that this work is performed not by medical workers, not by the average medical staff, but by social workers and volunteers.
